An RSS feed (or news feed) is a means by which you can stay informed about what's going on at Downland Chorale without having to regularly visit the website.
To make use of an RSS feed, you need some "feed reader" (or "aggregator") software. Most modern web browsers have feed readers built in.
The RSS feeds for Downland Chorale are listed below...
As the new Choral Year starts, our Director of Music, Tom Chapman, was delighted to welcome Arlo and Vanisha under our new choral scholarship scheme.
Arlo (left) is a first soprano studying at Reigate College; she has performed in a number of venues, including Westminster Cathedral, York Minister and Berlin Cathedral. She was appointed as a full soprano Choral Scholar at the start of this term having joined us for the final term of last year.
Vanisha (centre) has just joined us and is studying for her GCSEs at Riddlesdown Collegiate.
Under our new Choral Scholarship scheme, all young people under the age of 24 qualify for free membership of the choir and we have full scholarships of £200 per term available for all voice parts recruiting this term. We will be making further decisions regarding the full Choral Scholarships later this term.
If you know of any young people who may be interested please do ask them to get in touch - they will be very welcome.
We thank the Humphrey Richardson Taylor Charitable Trust (HRTCT) for their support and funding for our Choral Scholarships. Their support provides part-funding for the scheme and we are fundraising to cover the full costs of the scheme.
