A festive update from the Downland Chorale

As the festive season rapidly approaches we have many activities that we are looking forward to. With two formal concerts - from the exciting Dido and Aeneas to our Christmas Cracker concert in partnership with the children from the Keston Primary School Choir.  Tickets are available on line and we would love to see you there. But we also have other exciting singing opportunities - first with Coulsdon Yuletide and then in partnership with Coulsdon College at Toldene Court. We are also looking for new Members - if you would like to join us but may struggle with the subs please do get in touch as we have some funding available that you may be able to access. The weather was attrocious but our spirits were up as we celebrated by leading the singing of festive carols and other favourites.  Thankfully we were toasty warm and dry indoors at the Coulsdon Centre as the wind and rain lashed down outside!   Indeed, we were warmer and drier than we were at the Old COulsdon Fayre in July so thank you to everyone that put in so much effort to arrange this.  We were delighted to see family and friends braving the elements for this celebration of the festive season where there were many stalls as well as other fabulous entertainment on the central stage - although the childrens' rides sadly could not attend.   Festive favourites with Coulsdon College at Toldene Court Type of post: The Downland Chorale news item Sub-type: No sub-type Posted By: Rose Viggiani Status: Current Date Posted: Wed, 20 Nov 2024 At Downland we love to collaborate and this year we were invited to work with Coulsdon College, just around the corner from us. We supported their Christmas Carol Concert joining with them to sing festive favourites for the residents of Toldene Court on Friday 20th November. With a mix of traditional carols and more modern favourites we had the residents rocking down memory lane!
