Downland Chorale travels abroad to perform and to work with other choirs. It is not compulsory for members to join their tours, but everyone is encouraged to. Some of the countries they have travelled to include France, Italy, Czech Republic, Ireland, Belgium and Denmark.

The focus of any tour is of course the concerts and their tours have allowed the choir to sing at some of Europe’s most amazing venues. In addition to the concerts, the choir enjoys sampling local food and drink and visiting the region.

At Christmas and during the summer, the Downland Chorale organises social events for all members.
